On the 8th October 2025, a delegation of Board Members and Past Presidents of the CBC met with Attorney General Gavin Glover for a constructive dialogue on key national and legal reforms. Discussions covered the review of the electoral framework, including the reform of the Best Loser System, with emphasis on fairness and social cohesion. The delegation also addressed Mauritius’ participation in the Belt and Road Initiative, the Chagos sovereignty developments, and the impact of the Workers’ Rights Act on the business sector. Both sides agreed on the importance of ongoing engagement to ensure a modern legal environment that supports stability and economic progress.
