Who are the Presenters

Our moderator will be Kate Li Kwong Wing, Barrister-at-law, CBC Board Member.

The lead presenter will be Johanne Hague, Barrister-at-law and Founder of Prism Chambers, a boutique tax chambers. 

Johanne is an experienced Tax Lawyer with a particular focus on corporate and financial services tax in advisory, transactional and contentious areas. She has a broad Tax litigation practice and represents clients at all levels of the tax dispute resolution process. She has expertise in the application of FATCA and CRS rules in Mauritius, the Seychelles and Nigeria and regularly delivers seminars and in-house training on those topics.

Zaynab Hisaund – Senior Manager in Tax at Atax.

Zaynab worked for 6 years in Big 4 firms and more than 3 years in a multinational company. Zaynab has 10 years extensive experience in advising clients on both national and international tax strategies, including the application of double taxation treaties together with their interaction with the national tax laws. Zaynab is well versed in corporate income tax, value-added tax, individual taxation, tax accounting, transfer pricing, country-by-country reporting, FATCA and CRS.

Zuleikha Abbasakoor – Barrister-at-law

Zuleikha is a barrister registered with the Mauritian Bar and the Bar of England & Wales. She completed her legal studies at the University of West of England in Bristol, UK. She spent a year in Istanbul, Turkey where she worked as a legal editor for one of Turkey’s best law firms. She assists domestic and international clients on a large spectrum of corporate matters and has experience mainly in the fields of company, contract, finance, insolvency, employment and data protection law.
