Memorandum of Understanding signed with the South African Chamber of Commerce in Mauritius

On Wednesday 25th May 2016, the Chinese Business Chamber (Mauritius) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the South African Chamber of Commerce in Mauritius designed to strengthen ties between the two business chambers.

The South African Chamber of Commerce in Mauritius was established on 19th September 2013.  It is a non-profit organisation which promotes the interest of its members and encourages bi-lateral trade between Mauritius and South Africa, as well as promoting Mauritius as a regional hub for investments into Africa.

With similar objectives and values, the two Chambers will seek common ways and synergies to collaborate and assist their members in accessing a wider network of business opportunities.  Each Chamber is granted Associate Status with the other and members will be able to attend each other talks and events and will seek to enhance joint collaborations in the future.

The potential of this Memorandum of Understanding is very promising for both Chambers.
