As previously communicated, due to the past national lockdown and its applicable restrictions related to the Covid-19, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Chinese Business Chamber (CBC), which was scheduled for Thursday, 25 March 2021 had been cancelled.
Please be informed that the AGM is now scheduled for Thursday 5th August 2021. The Notice of the AGM and its Agenda will be issued in a separate communication.
In accordance with the regulations and as confirmed with the Registry of Association, the previous applications for Board positions no longer stand and we are inviting members who are interested to run for the five (5) vacant Board positions, to send fresh applications by email to the Secretary at: office@cbcmauritius.com by the 16th July 2021 at 12:00pm.
We would request members to send their application together with a short Bio (in a word document not exceeding 125 words). In addition the application should include the date, month and year you became a CBC member. The Bio should follow the format of Bio’s for current Board Members which can be seen on our CBC Website at www.cbcmauritius.com which would be considered by the Board in the voting process.
Kindly note that a potential candidate has to have been a compliant CBC member for more than 6 months as at the date of the AGM, i.e., 5th August 2021, in accordance with s.25 of the Registration of Association Act.
