On June 3rd, the CBC hosted a business lunch for the Shanghai Committee delegation of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra (who performed a superb high quality concert at Jin Fei Noah Centre).
Our Chamber has a long standing relationship with the CPPCC Shanghai Committee, marked by previous visits to Mauritius in 2018 to promote Cultural, Business and People to People’s ties. Similarly our Chamber visited Shanghai on many occasions to promote business and cultural ties. It was a great occasion to renew ties after the Covid-19 pandemic.
The delegation gave us a briefing on the vibrant landscape of Shanghai. Additionally, the CPPCC has invited the CBC for a business trip to Shanghai in 2025—stay tuned for further updates!
During our event, we also had the pleasure of hosting the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra. The evening before we enjoyed their fantastic performance. Connecting with such accomplished musicians was a privilege, given their high ranking in the world of Music in China.
